IMPORTANT UPDATES - CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

We write to you to provide an update on what measures TCM Rentals Sales Strata & TCM Rentals Strata Coastal have taken to minimise risk in relation to COVID-19. The health and safety of our clients and staff is of the upmost importance to us and we are adopting all recommended measures with regards to health and hygiene in addition to participating in continual education to ensure that our staff are aware and up to date on all changes and Government directions. 

We are constantly monitoring the evolving situation and continue to provide an undisrupted service to you. We remain available as always via phone, email and pre-arranged appointments. 

Visitors to our Offices

Kingscliff Office - For urgent matters requiring attendance, please call our office reception on (02) 6678 2400 in advance to arrange an appointment.

Key Collection/Drop Off

Cairns Office - We have established a process for the collection and return of keys. These are still available to collect from our office however we ask that you phone ahead on (07) 4030 0237 so we can arrange for the keys to be left in the lock box safe for your collection outside our reception door. 

Kingscliff Office - Please contact (02) 6678 2400 for strata related collections, or Wendy on 0447 334 225 for property management.

Document Delivery

Cairns Office - If you have documents to drop off, please place in the letterbox situated near the front door. This will be checked regularly throughout the day and documents will be distributed to the appropriate person/department. Please send via electronic delivery if at all possible. You can do this by sending directly to your Manager or to info@tcmstrata.com, rentals@tcmrentals.com.au or info@tcmsales.com.au.

We understand and appreciate the effect this unprecedented situation may have on many of our clients, especially in relation to meetings and inspections. Please rest assured that our team are still contactable via phone, email and virtually, by video conference, for necessary meetings whilst these temporary measures are in place. We are remaining up to date on Government Directions and REIQ recommendations and undertaking any necessary training to ensure that we can continue to provide the best service to our valued clients.

We have a checklist for prospective buyers and tenants to complete prior to attending an inspection/open home and 1.5 metre social distancing is to observed.

Body Corporate / Strata Titled Schemes

Please rest assured that our team are still contactable via phone, email and virtually, by video conference whilst these temporary measures are in place. You can make an appointment to see your manager or other staff if a face to face meeting is required. We kindly request that you arrange an appointment prior to coming into the office. Our team are remaining up to date on Government Directions and SCA best practice guides and we are undertaking any necessary training to ensure that we can continue to provide the best service to our valued clients.

We will be continuing to offer the option of virtual Body Corporate Committee Meetings and General Meetings. If you are unable to attend  a meeting electronically or via teleconference, we encourage you to submit voting papers in lieu of attending, If this is not possible and a face to face meeting is essential, please discuss options directly with your manager. For further information, you may contact our office on 07 4031 7877 or email info@tcmstrata.com   

Stage 3 Roadmap - Strata Communities

Please refer to the SCA (Strata Community Australia) Best Practice Guide for Apartment Living and COVID19 – “Return to (the new) Normal Roadmap for Stage 3 specifically for owners and residents in strata titled communities. This information is current from 3rd July 2020.  See below:

Major Changes from Stage 2 restrictions

  • Spaces below 200 square metres can have one person per two square metres, up to 50 persons at a time
  • Larger spaces continue to have permission for one person per four square metres, up to a maximum of 100 people in a private, non-commercial gathering 
  • Gyms may be left unsupervised provided an accurate attendance record is kept. The body corporate must keep contact information about all residents, guests and staff at any communal facility for contact tracing purposes, including name, address and mobile phone number, and date and time period facilities were used at (to be kept for a period of at least 56 days). If requested, this information must be provided to public health officers. The information should be securely stored, not used for any other purpose and deleted after 56 days.
